Starting with the 2015-2016 school year:

  • Any child entering 6th grade must show proof of one dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine (meningitis).
  • Any child entering 12th grade must show proof of two doses of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine (meningitis). The second does must be after 16 years of age. If the first dose was given after the 16th birthday, only one dose is required at 12th grade entry.
Please address these new requirements with your child's doctor. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at 815-289-1385. Thanks, Jeanne Nichols and Cyndi Brown.
